My name is James Cass and I'm a 22 year old tattooer currently working at No Regrets, Gloucester and Cheltenham [UK].

I started as my tattoo apprenticeship in 2009 after finishing my first year at Stroud College doing a BTEC NAT DIPLOMA in Art and Design. My interest in tattooing started from a young age but I never considered it as a possible career path until I was much older. After asking around at studios for some advice on my drawing and putting together a portfolio I was fortunate enough to be offered a place amongst the team at No Regrets. I spent all my time as an apprentice trying to learn the history behind the industry - I still do. I have worked with many talented artists during my time in the shop. I have a lot of people to thank for my current progress and love everything about my chosen career path. Tattooing someone is the most humbling job ever and I'm so glad to have been given such a great opportunity.

I go by the alias Ghost and I prefer working in a traditional / neo-traditional style but enjoy a challenge. I love working with a lot of black contrasted against vibrant colours. I try to draw ideas from the flash produced by artists from times gone whilst keeping my reference strictly photo based. We live in a time where everyone rips off everyone else so hopefully I can try and avoid that as much as possible. I have been fortunate to be in Skindeep magazine this year and work a few tattoo conventions.
